Join us for an important volunteer get together to coincide with the opening of our upcoming The Negro Motorist Green Book traveling exhibition. A presentation will be given from 12-1PM that will highlight the history surrounding the Green Book. We will also discuss best practices for guest interactions with an exhibit that discusses difficult history. All volunteers that directly engage with the public are strongly encouraged to attend.
Food will be provided, so come with an empty stomach. Unlike past luncheons, the presentation will begin right at 12PM, so feel free to arrive 15 minutes early (11:45AM) to grab some food before the presentation starts. Due to the high number of attendees we expect, the luncheon and presentation will take place in the Swanson.
After the presentation concludes at 1PM, we will head downstairs to the Velde for a walkthrough of the Green Book exhibit.
